Poetry itself is a type of art, but did you know that you can create poetry to look like art, too? Visual poetry is a poem that uses patterns, colors, and unique layouts to further communicate the words within the poem. Visual poetry is an effective way to engage the reader by using basic design principles. Living poems: How to make a visual representation of a poem Poems can create beautiful images in our minds. A great way to really enjoy poetry is to create a visual representation of a poem by making a painting, picture, video, slideshow, collage or other artwork that shows images from the poem and captures how it makes you feel.
